William Elvin Shafer 
William Elvin was born on July 14th, 1889. William Elvin's father was Daniel Washington Shaver and his mother was Martha C. Deitz. His paternal grandparents were George Washington Shaver and Lucinda Judy; his maternal grandparents are James Deitz and Mary Catherine McClung. He had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel Delbert, Pina Katherine and Aimee Dee. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 70 on September 6th, 1959. He was buried in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, Greenbrier County, WVA.-
