Jesse Plackett 
Jesse was born on December 6th, 1829 in Burton Dassett, Warwickshire, England. Jesse's father was Thomas Plackett and his mother was Hannah Anne Meads. He was an only child. He died at the age of 80 on July 8th, 1910 in 1712 North Monroe home in Peoria, Illinois. He was buried in July 1910 in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso, Illinois.General Notes

According to Janet Schnurr: "On March 4, 1861 in Metamora, Woodford
County, Illinois Jesse Plackett and the nearly 17 year old Mary (Molly)
Walden were united in marriage. The ceremony took place in the Metamora
Court House, location of the Lincoln-Douglas debates and now a historical
site. That night the couple led a candlelight parade on horseback, Mary
and Jesse being the newlyweds of the day and the parade being in
celebration of the first inauguration of Abraham Lincoln as president of
the United States."
Jesse and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on March 4th, 1861 in Metamora Court House, Metamora, Woodford County, Illinois. They had a son and three daughters, named William, Sarah Ellen, Annie Susan and Infant.
