Mary Walden 
Mary was born on March 10th, 1844 in Northend, Burton Dasset, Warwickshire, England. Mary's father was Thomas Walden and her mother was Sarah A. Hirons. Her paternal grandparents were Unknown Walden and UNKNOWN Mary; her maternal grandparents were John Hirons and Sarah Freeman. She had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph, Ann and Sarah Ellen. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 85 in December 1929 in 630 Park Avenue home in Peoria, Illinois. She was buried in December 1929 in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso, Illinois.General Notes

According to Janet Schnurr (127 Sandpiper Ct., Florence, OR 97439-9043):
"After Jesse's death Mary Walden Plackett lived at the home of her
grandaughter, Lora Byrd Grundy, at 630 Park Avenue, Peoria. Family
legend tells that Mary used to sip whisky every day. When prohibition
came, she had a bootlegger who came to the front steps with a "newspaper"
for her. She would give anyone around a dirty look and run upstairs with
it. Mary lost nearly everything in the stock market crash of 1929 and
walked around the house in a dazed condition, worried about her
dividends. She died at this same location in December 1929 and was
probably buried in El Paso with Jesse. She was 85."
