Arthur McClellan 
Arthur was born on September 23rd, 1839 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Arthur's father was George McClellan and his mother was Elizabeth Steinmetz Brinton. His paternal grandparents were James McClellan and Eunice Eldredge; his maternal grandparents were John Hill Brinton and Sarah Steinmetz. He had two brothers and a sister, named John Hill Brinton, George Brinton and Frederica S.. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 64 on February 22nd, 1904 in Drifton, Pennsylvania.General Notes
According to THE MCCLELLAN FAMILY PAPERS

"...he enlisted in the army during the Civil War. He served as an
assistant to his brother the well-known head of the Army of the Potomac,
General George B. McClellan. There are two items in the collection which
relate to his Civil War service. After the war he went to work for his
cousins, through the Brinton family, at the Coxe Brothers and Company,
coal operators, in Drifton, Pennsylvania. He died, unmarried, on 22
Feburary 1904, at Drifton."
