William Daniel Folk 
William Daniel was born on June 25th, 1905 in Emmaus, Lehigh County,Pennsylvania. William Daniel's father was Charles Peter Folk and his mother was Maria Susanna Knappenberger. His paternal grandparents were Carolus Judicus Folk and Emmeleine Conrad; his maternal grandparents were William Wendling Knappenberger and Isabella Susanna Breisch. He had two sisters named Isabel Viola and Eva Mae. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 88 on November 4th, 1993 in Mayville, Traill County, North Dakota. Folk, 88, Portland, ND, formerly Hunter, died Nov. 4, 1993. The funeral
was held Nov. 8 at Bruflat Lutheran Church, Portland, with interment in
Hunter. Folk was born June 25, 1905, in Emmaus, PA. He grew up in
Pennsylvania. He married Mildred Quaife May 28, 1927, in Moorhead. They
farmed near Galesburg, until moving to Hunter in 1941. He worked as a
bricklayer and carpenter in Hunter and had worked for Wenaas
Construction, Hunter. He later worked as a landscaper until retiring in
1985. She died in 1985. He moved to Portland in 1990 and had been a
resident of Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, since 1992. Surviving are
two sons, Donald, Kissimmee, FL, and Charles, Austin, MN; two daughters,
Wilma (Earl) Nelson, Portland, and Patrician (Marvin) Frost, Truth or
Consequences, NM; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren."

William Folk, 88, Portland, N.D., formerly Hunter, N.D., will be at 2
Monday in Bruflat Lutheran Church, Portland, with burial in Hunter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 Sunday in Baker Funeral Home, Mayville,
N.D. He died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1993. Mr. Folk was born June 25, 1905,
in Emmaus, Pa. He grew up in Pennsylvania. On May 28, 1927, he married
Mildred Quaife in Moorhead. They farmed near Galesburg, N.D., until
moving to Hunter in 1941. He worked as a bricklayer and carpenter in
Hunter and had worked for Wenaas Construction, Hunter. He later worked
as a landscaper until retiring in 1985. She died in 1985. In 1990 he
moved to Portland. He had been a resident of the Luther Memorial Home in
Mayville since 1992. He is survived by two sons, Donald, Kissimmee,
Fla., and Charles, Austin, Minn. : two daughters, Wilma (Earl) Nelson,
Portland, and Patricia (Marvin) Frost, Truth or Consequences, N.M.; 16
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren."
