Her paternal grandparents were James Dunsmore and UNKNOWN Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents were Lewis Warnsturff and Mary Fisher. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Charles, John, William Hamilton, James A., Pittius T. Wanstaf, Pethcia Warnsturf, Jacob Harvey, Catherine, Mary F., Josephine and Sarah.
