Silas Smith Vines 
Silas Smith was born on July 26th, 1817 in Augusta County, Virginia. He died at the age of 68 on March 6th, 1886 in Monroe County, West Virginia. He was buried in Sweeney-Brammer Cemetery, Mercer County, West Virginia.
‌Silas Smith and Elizabeth Phoebe were married in a religious ceremony on November 16th, 1843 in Monroe County, Virginia.1 They had five sons and five daughters, named James William, John Wesley, Harvey Lewis, Goheen Botler, Alfred Burman, Mary Mollie Catherine, Henrietta Smith, Sarah Frances, Elizabeth Susan and Jane Ellen.
