Sveyn I Forkbeard Haraldsson of was born in 0965 in Denmark.  Sveyn I Forkbeard Haraldsson of's father was Harald VII Bluetooth Gormsson of Denmark and his mother was Gyrid Olafsdottir of Sweden.  His paternal grandparents were Gorm the Old of Jutland and Thyri Danebod Klacksdottir; his maternal grandparents were Olof Mitkg Bjornsson of Sweden and Ingeberg Thrandsdotter. He had a brother and two sisters, named Hakon Haraldsson of, Thyra Haraldsdottir Blauzahn of and Gunhild Haraldsdottir of. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Herbastus the Dane and Gunnora.  He died in Gainsborough, Lincoln, England.  He was buried in 1013 in Roskilde Domkirke/Roeskild Cathedral, Denmark.
