William IV Henry Hanover of Great was born on August 21st, 1765 in Buckingham Palace, St. James Park,  London, England.  William IV Henry Hanover of Great's father was George III Hanover of Great Britain and his mother was Charlotte-Sophia von Mecklenburg.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick Louis Guelph Hanover and Augusta of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named George IV Augusta Hanover Great, Frederick Augustus, Edward Augustus, Ernest I Augustus, Augustus Frederick, Adolphus Frederick, Octavius, Alfred, Amelia, Charlotte Augusta Matilda, August Sophia, Elizabeth, Mary and Sophia Matilda.  He was the third oldest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 71 on June 20th, 1837 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.  He was buried in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Berkshire, England.
