‌Samuel (Gates) and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony in 1708 in Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut.  They had three sons and six daughters, named Samuel, John, Josiah, Sarah, Marcy, Bethiah, Abigail, Eunice and Charity.
