James Martin Vaughn 
James Martin was born in 1858. James Martin's father was Robert H. Vaughn and his mother was Elizabeth Gatten. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Gatten and Eleanor Meeks. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William J., Thomas Asa, John D., Margaret Jane and Susan Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named John D.. He died at the age of 53 in 1911.-
