Berenguela was born in 1180 in Burgos, Castile.  Berenguela's father was Alfonso VIII King of Castile and her mother was Eleanor Princess Of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Sancho III Alfonsez King Of Castile and Blanca Princess Of Navarre; her maternal grandparents were Henry II Plantagenet King of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. She had a sister named Blanche of. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Alfonso, Ferdinand III, Berengaria, Constanza and Leonor.  She died at the age of 66 on November 8th, 1246 in Burgos, Castile.
