Betty was born in 1874. Betty's father was J. T. Poe and her mother was Celia Anders. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Anders and Sarah Richardson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, James Everett, Floyd, Friel, Osborn, Elbert, Sarah and Jency. She is the second youngest of the nine children.-
