Joseph Keicher\Kyker 
Joseph was born on June 9th, 1779 in Dutch 2nd Creek, Rowan Co., North Carolina and his baptism took place in 1796 in Peint Church, (Now Union), Rowan Co., North Carolina. Joseph's father was Conrad Keicher and his mother was Margaret Lyerle. His paternal grandfather was Christian Kiker and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Lineberger; his maternal grandparents were Johann Christopher Lyerle and Elizabeth Christina UNKNOWN. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John(Johann), Conrad Keicher, UNKNOWN, Peter, Catherine(a), Mary Ann, Margarite Ann, Susannah and Barbara. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 on July 13th, 1855 in Washington Co., TN. He was buried in Washington Co., TN.-
