His paternal grandfather is John William Hepworth and his paternal grandmother was Mahala Strong Parker; his maternal grandfather was Alpheus Gifford and his maternal grandmother is Ursula Ett Winder. He had a sister named Jean. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 72 on March 4th, 1997 in Laverkin, Washington Co., Utah.-
