Bartholomew Gifford 
Bartholomew was born in 1196 in Halsbury, Devonshire, England. Bartholomew's father was Roger Gifford and his mother is Anne Bruer. His paternal grandparents are Gervaise Gifford and Mrs. Gifford; his maternal grandfather was William De La Bruer and his maternal grandmother is Beatrice De Valle. He had five brothers named Robert, Matthew, Philip, William and Walter. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 118 in 1314.-
