Roger Lowell was born on December 28th, 1927 in Holdrege, Phelps Co., Nebraska. Roger Lowell's father was Stuart Albert Berger and his mother was Harriet Eglantine Bolles. His paternal grandparents are Willis Anderw Berger and Anna Irene Colter; his maternal grandparents were John Huntington Bolles and Harriett Elizabeth Merrill. He has two brothers and a sister, named Jack Willis, Warren Emmett and H. Jean. He is the youngest of the four children.-
