Lura J. was born on July 24th, 1911 in Baywood, Virginia. Lura J.'s father was Rush Floyd Anders and her mother was Cora Ann Martin. Her paternal grandparents were Osborn Anders and Rachel Taylor; her maternal grandparents are Isaac Martin and Mary Taylor. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Charley James, Carlie Franklin, Bessie and Alice Virginia. She was the second oldest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Roy, William Reeves Corbett, Greely and Ollie. She died at the age of 26 on May 10th, 1938 in Grayson Co., Virginia.-
