Sarah was born about 1766. Sarah's father was Benedict Bennett Stacy and her mother was Sarah Haskins. Her paternal grandfather was John Stacy and her paternal grandmother is Mary Abernathy; her maternal grandparents were Aaron Haskins and Priscilla Redmond. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Aaron, John, Elisha, Mark, Jane, Nancy and Lucretia. She is the fourth youngest of the nine children.General Notes
