He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Josiah Crenshaw, SAMUEL, WILLIAM L., CLEMENT W., JAMES T., MARY A., MARTHA, SUSAN MASSEY, Elizabeth V., SICILY, AMERICA LUCINDA and ANTOINETTE M..  He is the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.
