James Stephenson was born on September 19th, 1783 in Westmorland Co., Pennsylvania.1 James Stephenson's father was David MCKINLEY and his mother was Sarah Gray. His paternal grandfather was John MCKINLEY and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Rachael Stewart; his maternal grandparents are John Gray and Hannah Stevenson. He was an only child.
