James McKinley

James was born on July 31st, 1814.¹ James' father was James Stephenson McKinley and his mother was Mary Polly Rose. His paternal grandparents were David MCKINLEY and Sarah Gray; his maternal grandparents were John "Andrew" Rose and Hannah Chapman. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named William, Andres, David Josiah, John, Ephriam, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Celia, Mary, Sarah Jane, Hanna, Martha and Ellen. He is the sixth oldest of the fourteen children.
