Nancy was born on January 9th, 1824 in Granville, Troy Or, Nc. Nancy's father was Moses GRISHAM GRISSOM and her mother was Elizabeth "Betsy" SLATE. Her paternal grandfather was Drury GRISSOM; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Jr. SLATE and Elizabeth "Betsy" ORSBROOK. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Oliver, William, James Mose, James B., Rhoda, Jane, Elizabeth and Eliza. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 70 on September 23rd, 1894 in , Hendersonville, Sumner Co, Tn. She was buried in September 1894 in Pres. Church Cem, Hendersonville, , Tn.General Notes
