William GRISSOM

William was born in August 1828 in , , , Nc. William's father was Moses GRISHAM GRISSOM and his mother was Elizabeth "Betsy" SLATE. His paternal grandfather was Drury GRISSOM; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Jr. SLATE and Elizabeth "Betsy" ORSBROOK. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Oliver, James Mose, James B., Rhoda, Nancy, Jane, Elizabeth and Eliza. He is the fifth oldest of the nine children.
