Henry BOWEN 
Henry was born in 1738 in Augusta, Augusta, Va. Henry's father was John BOWEN and his mother was Lilly MCILHANEY. His paternal grandparents were Moses BOWEN and Rebecca REECE; his maternal grandfather was Henry MC ILHANEY and his maternal grandmother is Mrs. Jane HUNTER. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named John, Moses, Robert, Reece (Rees), William, Arthur M, Charles, Nancy Anne, Agnes, Jane Jean, Rebecca, Jean and Mary. He was the fifth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 70 in 1808 in Grainger, Grainger, Tn. He was buried in 1808 in , Grainger, Tn.General Notes
