Sarah Anne was born on April 22nd, 1842 in Bradford, Vermont. Sarah Anne's father was Marcus Hartwell Wheeler and her mother was Sarah Pratt. Her paternal grandparents were Amos Wheeler and Eunice Hosford; her maternal grandparents were William Pratt and Abigail Connor. She had two brothers and a sister, named Marcus Pratt, Edward Gilman and Ella. She was the second oldest of the four children.-
