Elizabeth Thornton

Elizabeth was born in 1501. Elizabeth's father was Robert Thornton and her mother was Jane Layton. Her paternal grandparents were William Thornton and Agnes Aldborough; her maternal grandparents were William Layton and Elizabeth Stapleton. She had nine brothers and a sister, named William, Robert, Martin, Thomas, Gregory, Richard, John, Christopher, Francis and Anne. She was the youngest of the eleven children.
