Christopher Thornton

Christopher was born in 1496. Christopher's father was Robert Thornton and his mother was Jane Layton. His paternal grandparents were William Thornton and Agnes Aldborough; his maternal grandparents were William Layton and Elizabeth Stapleton. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named William, Robert, Martin, Thomas, Gregory, Richard, John, Francis, Anne and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.
