Dena Smith 
Dena was born about 1884 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Dena's father was Tjark (Jackson) Smidt and her mother was Wopke Muntenga. Her paternal grandparents were Jakob Heijen Gerdes Smidt and Frauke (Fanny) DeGrave. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Jacob (Jimmie), Fannie, Katie and Clara. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California.-
