Clara Smith 
Clara was born on October 6th, 1895 in Marshalltown, Marshall, Iowa. Clara's father was Tjark (Jackson) Smidt and her mother was Wopke Muntenga. Her paternal grandparents were Jakob Heijen Gerdes Smidt and Frauke (Fanny) DeGrave. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Jacob (Jimmie), Fannie, Katie and Dena. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 76 in 1971 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.-
