Henry Warren was born on June 23rd, 1898 in Burlington, Kansas. Henry Warren's father was William Simmons Lang and his mother was Gertrude Cheney. His paternal grandparents were Richard Simmons Lang and Fannie E. Wigston; his maternal grandparents were Henry B. Cheney and Frances Esther Merritt. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Edward Willis, Charles Leonard, Dorothy May, Francis Esther and Pauline Gertrude. He was the oldest of the six children.
