Efrddyl Ap Peibio was born about 0498.  Efrddyl Ap Peibio's father was Peibio Glafrog Ap Erb and his mother was Custennin.  His paternal grandfather was Erb. He had four brothers named Tewdwr Ap Peibio, Cynfyn Ap Peibio, Guidci Ap Peibio and Cinust Ap Peibio.  He was the youngest of the five children.
