Rohese was born in 1034 in Longueville, Normandy, France. Rohese's father was Walter Giffard de Bolebec and her mother was Ermentrude Agnes Fleitel. Her paternal grandparents were Osborne II de Bolbec and Avelina Wevia de Crépon; her maternal grandparents were Girard Fleitel and Miss d'Evereux. She had a brother and five sisters, named Walter, Adelaide, William, Isabella Constance Catherine, Lora and Hugh. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 81 in 1115.-
