Walter De Clare

Walter was born in 1058. Walter's father was Richard "de Tonbridge" fitz Gilbert and his mother was Rohese Giffard. His paternal grandparents were Gislebert Crispin and Gunmore d'Aunou; his maternal grandparents were Walter Giffard de Bolebec and Ermentrude Agnes Fleitel. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Roger FitzRichard, Gilbert FitzRichard, Richard FitzRichard, Robert Fitz Richard, Robert fitz, Avoye, Ronais, Adeliza and Rohese.
