Jacob Eikamp 
Jacob was born on February 20th, 1862 in Forreston, Ogle, Illinois. Jacob's father was Aalderk Jochums Eikamp and his mother was Klaaske (Clara) Smidt. His maternal grandparents were Jakob Heijen Gerdes Smidt and Frauke (Fanny) DeGrave. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Johann (John), Johann (John), Alderk, Anna Dorothea Marie, Frauke (Kate) and Clara. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 55 on August 13th, 1917 in De Smet, Kingsbury, South Dakota. He was buried on August 16th, 1917 in Spirit Lake Prsy Church Cem, De Smet, Kingsbury, South Dakota.-
