Maud was born about 1286 in Wigmore, Herford, England.  Maud's father was Edmund De Mortimer and her mother was Margaret Eleanor de Fiennes.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger De Mortimer and Maud De Braiose; her maternal grandparents were William II de Fiennes and Blanche de Brienne. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William, Roger, Hugh, Walter, Edmund, John, Isolte, Alianore, Joan and Elizabeth.  She was the third oldest of the eleven children.  She died on September 17th, 1315 in Alverton Castle, England.


Maud's family with Sir Theobald de Verdon

‌Maud and Sir Theobald were married in a religious ceremony on July 29th, 1302 in Wigmore, Herford, England.  They had three daughters named Joan, Elizabeth and Margaret.
