Roger De Mortimer 
Roger was born on April 25th, 1287 in Thornbury, Herefordshire, England. Roger's father was Edmund De Mortimer and his mother was Margaret Eleanor de Fiennes. His paternal grandparents were Roger De Mortimer and Maud De Braiose; his maternal grandparents were William II de Fiennes and Blanche de Brienne. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Hugh, Walter, Edmund, John, Isolte, Maud, Alianore, Joan and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 43 on November 29th, 1330 in hanged at the Elm, Tyburn, London, England. He was buried in Church Of Grey Friars, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.General Notes

1287-1330
Welsh rebel and lover of Edward II's wife, Isabella (1292-1358), with whom he raised an army to invade England from France (1326). They deposed Edward (1327) and ruled until 1330, when Edward III seized power and Mortimer was condemned to death by Parliament.

English Magnate. He led the baronial opposition to Edward II's favourites (1320-22) and was imprisoned before fleeing to France. There he became the lover of Edwards Queen Isabella with whom he secured Edward's deposition and murder in 1327. He then ruled England in the name of Edwards son Edward III, until the latter caused him to be executed.
