Matilda Maud was born in 1072 in Huntingdon, England.  Matilda Maud's father was II Waltheof and her mother was Judith De Lens.  Her paternal grandparents were Siward Bjornsson and Ælflaed Elfleda of Bernicia; her maternal grandparents were Count of Lens Lambert and Adbelahide De Normandie. She had a sister named Alice Adeliza.  She was the older of the two children.  She died in Scone, Perth, Scotland.
