Trientja (Tena) was born on March 20th, 1877 in Grundy Co., Iowa. Trientja (Tena)'s father was Dick (Dirk) Beving and her mother was Mareka Willemssen. Her paternal grandparents were Dirk (Ubbens) Evers Beving and Trientje "Tena" Jans Freeksen; her maternal grandparents were Jan Hindkerk Willemssen and Peterke (Pearl) Muntinga. She had five brothers and ten sisters, named John Willemssen, Dirk (Dick), Ubbe, Henry, Henry, Peterka (Patty), Antje (Anna), Gepka (Abbie), Amke (Emma), Wopka (Myrtle), Mareka (Mary), Henrietta, Etta, Minnie and Bertha. She was the oldest of the sixteen children. She died at the age of 78 on February 28th, 1956 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.General Notes
