Sarah (Sally) was born about 1792 in North Carolina?. Sarah (Sally)'s father was poss.Jehu Staton and her mother was Mehala. Her paternal grandmother was Phoebe Unknown. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Ezekiel, Elijah, George, Joseph, Elizabeth, Phebe, Catherine, Nancy, Mary (Polly), Sally and Peggy. She died after 1835 in Warrick County or Spencer County,Indiana.General Notes
Name may be STEATON, SEATON, STETON. No proof who parents are. Marriage license spells name STEATON but the first "t" is inserted so name could be SEATON.
Probably died in Nov 1844 when guardians were appointed.
Father possibly Jehu Staton of Barren County, Kentucky.
Sarah (Sally) and Shelton were married in a religious ceremony on June 14th, 1814 in Barren County,Kentucky. They had two sons and six daughters, named Jesse Frank, David, Sarah Elizabeth, Martha Jane, Mary (Polly), Susannah (Susan), Elizabeth and Nancy.

Mary (Polly) was born in 1825 in Barron County,Kentucky. She died at the age of 75 on December 24th, 1900. She was buried in Log Creek Cemetary,Pike County,Indiana.
