John Devotion Smith 
John Devotion was born on July 12th, 1816. John Devotion's father was William Hunter Smith and his mother was Electra Strong. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Strong General and Mercy Bloomer. He had four sisters named Loraine Beman, Electra Strong, Susan Strong and Mary Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children.-
