Cecil Sloan 
Cecil was born on December 26th, 1891 in Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana. Cecil's father was John Eads Sloan and his mother was Sarah Ann (Sally) Vance. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Neal Sloan and Mary Eads; his maternal grandparents were John Lewis Vance and Jane Landers. He had four brothers and a sister, named Ridgely, Clayton, Delancy, Wayne Walter and Lulu. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Perry V., Lyman Edward, John William Clark, Benjamin Lee, Treat Foresta and Nevada. He died at the age of 47 on March 15th, 1939. He was buried in Marengo Cemetery,Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana.General Notes
