Miles Sandage 
Miles was born in 1858. Miles' father was Jesse Sandage and his mother was Elizabeth Gilliland Cummings. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sandage and Rachel Terry. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John T., Ulysses, Phoebe, Rachel and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had a half-sister named Harriet.-
