Elijah SHipley

Elijah was born in 1762. Elijah's father was William Shipley and his mother was Rebecca Sellman. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shipley and Elizabeth Stevens; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Lawrence Sellman and Anne Powell. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Robert, William, Lloyd, Vachel, Levin, George, Jesse, Patience and Providence. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
