Benjamin Van Cleave Rector 
Benjamin Van Cleave was born on April 22nd, 1839 in Vigo County,Indiana. Benjamin Van Cleave's father was George Rector and his mother was Elizabeth Jane VanCleave. His paternal grandparents were John Preston Rector and Catherine Price; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin VanCleave and Sarah Kerns. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Matthew Simpson "Boss", Elijah O. "Lige", Wesley Jackson, James Albert, Fredrick S., Catherine M. and Margaret J.. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 85 on November 6th, 1924 in Clay County,Indiana.-
