Richard was born in of Balleymorrey,County Antrim,Ireland. He had a brother named William. Richard is no longer alive.General Notes
William and Richard Mayberry are said by descendants to have come from Ballomoney, County Antrim, Ireland to Marblehead, Massachusetts about 1730. By 1740 William was living in New Marblehead (later Windham, ME). He was a blacksmith by trade and acquired considerable property.
Richard was living in Salem, Massachusetts before 1740 when he was married to Elizabeth Meek.
