Josephs estate was administered by his son-in-law John Barlow Jr. who qualified as administrator on 3 Feb 1812 under a bond of 800 pounds with John Judd ( of Reddies River) and John Swaim as securities. At the sale of the personal propety on 3 March 1812, purchasers included the widow Mildred Rash, her children Mary and Thomas Rash, her brother-in-law Jonathan Land (who married Elizabeth Isbell) and Elder John Barlow.
