Maritje Jansse's baptism took place on August 22nd, 1711 in Alphen,Zuid Holland,Netherland.  Maritje Jansse's father was Jan Jansz RAM and her mother was Maritje Jansse SNEL.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan RAM and Marijtje Claasdr VAN DER HOEF. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Cornelis, Willem Jansz, Jannetje and Marijtje.
