Cornelis' baptism took place on July 7th, 1715 in Alphen,Zuid Holland,Netherland.  Cornelis' father was Jan Jansz RAM and his mother was Maritje Jansse SNEL.  His paternal grandparents were Jan RAM and Marijtje Claasdr VAN DER HOEF. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Willem Jansz, Jannetje, Marijtje and Maritje Jansse.
