Ransom Pruett 
Ransom was born in 1754 in Halifax,VA. Ransom's father was William Pruett and his mother was Judith Dudley. His paternal grandparents were Thomas (Sr) Pruett and Mary Magdalene Chastain. He had nine brothers named David, Richard, Willis, Samuel, Obediah, Joshua, John, Dudley and Peter. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 in April 1830 in Bedford Co,TN.-
